📝 Grammar

ます形（ていねい形）

Polite ます-form

ます is the polite present/future tense. Can mean both 'I do' and 'I will do'.

Examples

Hon o yomimasu.

I read a book.

きょうえきへいきます。

Kyou eki e ikimasu.

I will go to the station today.

〜ません（negative）

Negative form

Add ません to express 'do not'.

Examples

I don't watch TV.
